Should I thin out my Amaryllis.?

I thin my lily.

We bought a house two years ago and to my delight there are about 100 lilies in the front flower bed. Appear to be quite thick, however, there is an appropriate way to thin out maybe some transplant the backyard or give as gifts? I had no idea there was a “hot spot garden” until a neighbor came by frantic b / ci was pulling weeds and thought I was pulling the lily … Also, is there a “seed” that could make existing plants to grow new? Thanks

Thanks,
Rachel G

You can dilute the plot lily. Just dig up the bulbs are dormant and transplant them. You can collect the seeds, keeping the dead flowers in tact. They look like little marbles at the base of each flower. It takes years for each seed to flower. The division of the bulbs is much faster.
